Change the switches for domotic home

In a house with a garden, you need a lot of switches to turn all light (interior lights, garden lights, outdoor lights). So it is easy to have lights consist of 5-6 switches are difficult to locate and aesthetically objectionable. So I decided to make them by myself. Or rather, I looked around until I find something to fit to my ideas At the end I found the caps from the series Vimar Idea. |

With a template (at left in photo above) with 8 holes arranged in two rows, I wash a fair amount of caps. to each caps, I inserted a row of 4 LEDs cylindrical flat-head and in the other row of small buttons held by a small base breadboard. The hard part has been welded, many threads as there are terminals LEDs and buttons. |

A piece of spring steel wire, put in two holes created in sides of the walls of the cap, ensuring the mechanical strength, against high pressures on the button. The electronics also ensures that the LED lights on all the light points, and in every room so you can know the lights that are on.You can act also for keys combinations. Pressing any buttons together, can open the garage, the gate motor, turn on for event sound messages, activate the garden pump.
The effect is this: when you press a button, you turns on the light and the corresponding red LED. When an external PIR sensor turns on the light, the LED corresponding to the button flashes with a low rate that accelerates over the last 5 seconds before turning off. In this way, you immediately know which are the lights on, and if lit by people (LED drive), or sensors (flashing). Always at a glance, based on the frequency of flashing, you can determine if the lights are about to go off.
